IsDB holds Wrap-Up Meeting with NaCSA on SLCDD Monitoring Mission...


*Freetown, Sierra Leone August 21, 2025* — The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA), in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) team, successfully concluded a wrap-up meeting at NaCSA Headquarters in Freetown to mark the end of a joint monitoring mission for the Second Phase of the Sierra Leone Community-Driven Development Project (SLCDD II).


The wrap-up session brought together senior officials from NaCSA and representatives of the IsDB team to review key findings, achievements, and challenges observed during the monitoring visit. Over the course of the mission, the teams engaged with project beneficiaries and stakeholders in selected districts, assessed implementation progress, and gathered feedback from communities on the impact of interventions.


In his remarks, Kofi Addai-the Senior Director of Support Services who represented the Commissioner and leadership of NaCSA emphasized the importance of the SLCDD project as a flagship initiative that continues to transform rural communities through infrastructure development, livelihood support, and enhanced community participation. The IsDB team commended NaCSA for its commitment and professionalism in delivering on project objectives despite operational challenges, while also stressing the need for continued collaboration and accountability to ensure long-term stories of improved service delivery, and positive socio-economic impact in project areas. They also jointly identified priority actions for strengthening project implementation, monitoring, and reporting to both NaCSA and IsDB.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment from both NaCSA and IsDB to consolidate efforts in ensuring that the SLCDD II achieves its overall goal of improving rural livelihoods, fostering resilience, and promoting inclusive development in Sierra Leone.
