NaCSA Concludes Two-Days Training for SLCDD II Feasibility Assessment as Enumerators Prepare for Deployment...

The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) has successfully concluded a two-days intensive training session for data enumerators ahead of the nationwide feasibility assessment for the proposed Sierra Leone Community-Driven Development Project (SLCDD III). The project is supported by the *Islamic Development Bank* (IsDB) with counterpart funding from the Government of Sierra Leone.

The training brought together participants from NaCSA Headquarters and district offices for a structured two-days programme designed to strengthen field readiness and ensure high-quality data collection across the seven targeted districts: Bo, Bonthe, Pujehun, Kenema, Kailahun, Falaba, and Kambia.

During the opening session, NaCSA Regional Coordinator, South - Md. Aminata Vandi emphasized the significance of the feasibility study in shaping evidence-based project planning. The Programme Manager for SLCDD II - Momoh Juanah further outlined the objectives of the assessment and its anticipated impact on community-driven development.

Senior Directors and the NaCSA Board Chairman - Mr. Mohamed Alie also shared brief remarks, acknowledging the commitment of staff and the crucial role of accurate field data in designing effective interventions. The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager - Deen Tarawally elaborated on the need for data accuracy, providing practical guidance on the use of the assessment survey instrument.

Enumerators received hands-on training on ground rules, ethical considerations, quality assurance, and data collection techniques. Participants engaged in group exercises to reinforce understanding and ensure uniformity in data collection procedures. As the training wraps up, enumerators are set to be deployed to their respective districts to commence field activities.

The two-days preparation has equipped them with the knowledge, confidence, and tools required to conduct the assessment with accuracy and professionalism. This marks a key milestone in the rollout of SLCDD II, reinforcing NaCSA’s commitment to community participation, transparency, and inclusive development across Sierra Leone.
