NaCSA Staff Celebrate Chairman Jimmy’s Leadership in a Joyful Tribute of Unity and Progress...

In a triumphant mood and tearful atmosphere, the entire staff of National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) joined hands in one voice to pay glowing tribute to their Deputy Commissioner Jimmy who is now the Chairmanship of the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP).

Led by the Commission’s dynamic women’s forum, the programme was a rich weave of song and dance interspersed with deeply touching tributes, which reflect the great wind of change that Jimmy has blown through his institution.

The mix had more than celebratory connotations —it was an expression and celebration of purpose and restoration of dignity. Staff members, dressed in coordinated attire and beaming with pride, chanted in unison, staff members joined in a chorus: *“We have decided to follow Jimmy; no turning back, no turning back.”* The words echoed through the corridors, not just as a simple epithet but an affirmation of staff’s confidence in a leader who has worked with the Commissioner to revolutionize the face of public service at NaCSA. It was loyalty, hope in a better future.

Chairman Jimmy, visibly touched by the outpouring of support, took the opportunity to express his profound gratitude to His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in his journey. He also paid homage to Commissioner Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina, describing him as the architect of the platform that enabled his leadership to thrive. *“The long dream of transforming NaCSA into paradise has come to pass,”* Jimmy declared, his voice filled with conviction and pride.

NaCSA has undergone a phenomenal transformation under the watch of Jimmy Batilo Songa as Deputy Commissioner. *‘’What was once a workplace clouded by fear and uncertainty has blossomed into an environment of peace, purpose, and productivity. Staff members now walk through the gates with confidence, knowing their contributions are valued and their futures secure. Promotions have been fairly awarded, job security has improved, and a renewed sense of morale permeates every department.’’* Chairman Jimmy noted.

The women’s forum, which has long served as resilient bastion of inclusiveness and empowerment under the agency, was at the centre of organising a well deserving tribute. The leadership they demonstrated in mobilizing staff and curating the event marked a significant shift in institutional culture, one increasingly led by women.

The voices boomed loud and clear as they cheered a leader who listens, who lifts up, and who gets stuff done.

As NaCSA remains on course in nurturing social change across Sierra Leone, the zeal and commitment expressed during this celebration represents a dawn of greater impact and development. With Chairman Jimmy now at the helms of the SLPP and supported by national leadership, it is time for this Commission to widen their net and firmly etch its service in the souls of the downtrodden.

This was not a celebration of one man — it was of a movement. It was about the power of visionary leadership, the courage of united purpose and the possibility for a shared future of integrity and empathy. NaCSA’s eulogy for Chairman Jimmy is its reminder to a bitter truth, that where leadership grows from service, revolution is not just feasible but inexorable.
